APRIL: CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH
Did you know that just last year, Williamson County CASA served 330 children?
Over the last 20 years, we have advocated for abused and neglected children in our court system. Through a committed volunteer force, we have helped thousands of young people in this community find safe and permanent homes.
Please join CASA in recognizing National Child Abuse Prevention Month. This month--and throughout the year--WCCASA encourages all individuals and organizations to play a role in making Williamson County a better place for children and families.
By ensuring that parents have the knowledge, skills, and resources they need to care for their children, together we can help promote children’s social and emotional well-being and prevent child maltreatment within families and communities.
WHAT IS NATIONAL CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH?
National Child Abuse Prevention Month is a time to acknowledge the importance of working together to prevent child abuse and neglect, and to promote the social and emotional well-being of children and families.
During the month of April--as well as throughout the year--communities are encouraged to share child abuse and neglect prevention awareness strategies and activities to promote prevention across the country.
